Doug Jones Brings "Rally for Alabama" to Birmingham with Chevy 6

From the Jones campaign

October 6

Birmingham, AL – Doug Jones is bringing his "Rally for Alabama" home to Birmingham on Thursday, October 8, with a free, public event at Cahaba Brewing Company, featuring a special performance by Chevy 6.

Jones has been a fan of Chevy 6 since his days in Tuscaloosa, where the band got its start in the spring of 1974 while Jones was a student at the University of Alabama. Chevy 6 has spent more than five decades as one of Alabama's best-loved party bands.

The Rally for Alabama series kicked off September 23 in Mobile, where more than 1,500 people turned out at Crown Hall for a rally featuring Grammy Award-winning Alabama native Jason Isbell.

"What we saw in Mobile was incredible. Folks showed up because they're ready for change in this state," Jones said. "We're taking that energy all across Alabama between now and November 3."

The rally starts at 5:30 p.m. at Cahaba Brewing Company, 4500 5th Ave. S., Birmingham, AL 35233.
