Republican candidate Corey Hill has released his first television ad in the race for Alabama Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries.

The ad, titled “The Farmer’s Choice,” is set to run on both traditional television and streaming platforms across Alabama. In it, Hill leans into his background as a working farmer and small business owner, framing his campaign around the connection between agriculture and public health.

He closes the spot with a simple line meant to resonate with voters across rural and urban communities alike: “What we grow and what you eat – it matters.”

Hill currently serves as Mayor of Douglas in Marshall County, where he also operates as a farmer and grocery store owner. His campaign has emphasized that mix of hands-on agricultural work and local leadership as a foundation for the Statewide role.

That message has already drawn backing from key industry groups. According to reporting from Alabama Farmers Federation and affiliates, Hill has secured support from major agricultural voices, including the Federation and Alabama Cattlemen’s Association’s political arm, BeefPAC.

Additional support has come from business groups tied to the State’s food supply chain. The Alabama Grocers Association also endorsed Hill, pointing to his experience in both production and retail as a strength for the office.

Hill has also spoken at length about the broader stakes of the position. In a recent opinion piece, he argued that food safety is not just a regulatory issue but a matter of economic stability and public health, writing that it directly affects “the State’s health and economy.”

The Agriculture Commissioner oversees a wide range of responsibilities, from food inspections to supporting farmers and managing consumer protections. Hill’s campaign appears focused on tying those duties back to everyday concerns at the kitchen table.

With his first ad now in rotation, Hill is beginning to define his message early — grounded in agriculture, public trust, and the idea that what happens on the farm reaches far beyond it.
