ICYMI: Doug Jones Declined to Concede While Votes Were Being Counted
Jones’ remarked to supporters in Birmingham were streamed to the ALPolitics.com Facebook page
Tuesday evening, Doug Jones addressed his supporters at The Sheraton in downtown Birmingham, declining to concede the Governor’s race while votes were still being counted.
The speech was livestreamed to the ALpolitics.com Facebook page, and may be seen at THIS LINK.
At 12:36 AM Wednesday, the Associated Press called the race for Tuberville.
As of this writing, the Alabama Secretary of State’s website gave the unofficial results as 51.78% for Tuberville and 47.87% for Jones.
In accordance with Facebook’s policies, the stream will be available for 30 days before being automatically deleted.
At press time, Jones had yet to formally concede the race.
