The West Alabama Chapter of the Alabama Republican Assembly (ARA) meet on Monday, July 13 at Pastor’s Kitchen Mexican restaurant in Northport.
J. William “Billy” McFarland Jr. spoke about “Why Passing Any Gambling Bill is Bad For Alabama.”
McFarland, a public policy advocate and longtime conservative leader, has served as the National Director for the Alabama Republican Assembly, and was a Co-Founder of the West Alabama Chapter of the ARA.
Prior to McFarland’s presentation, Alabama State Senator Gerald Allen (R-Tuscaloosa) and State Representative Bill Lamb (R-Tuscaloosa) spoke about their objections to gambling legislation in both previous and the upcoming legislative session.
