LaPoint Earns Veterans Group Endorsement
Veterans Outreach Team backs Terri LaPoint in AL-3 race, citing her long record of support for Veterans and military families
Republican Congressional candidate Terri LaPoint has received the endorsement of the Veterans Outreach Team, a group that advocates for Veterans and military families.
The endorsement comes as LaPoint continues her campaign for Alabama’s 3rd Congressional District seat, where she is challenging long-term incumbent Mike Rogers in the Republican primary.
In a statement released by the group, the Veterans Outreach Team said it “proudly endorses” LaPoint because she is “willing to listen, serve, and provide a sounding voice for our military and Veterans.”
The organization added, “Terri LaPoint has been a very big supporter for our community for years and today we proudly stand by her in this next chapter of her fight.”

LaPoint said the endorsement carries personal meaning for her family.
“My husband and I both come from a long line of Veterans,” LaPoint said. “I am forever grateful to the men and women who sacrificed everything to serve the cause of freedom. As a nation we owe a debt we can never repay, and I am committed to standing with our Veterans to ensure that they have the tools they need when they come home.”
She continued, “I am honored to receive this endorsement. I wish Granddad were here to see it.”
LaPoint, an investigative journalist and grassroots activist from Odenville, launched her congressional campaign last year on a platform centered around parental rights, government accountability, medical freedom, and support for families and Veterans.
LaPoint has also highlighted support for the military and Veteran community as part of her campaign platform.
The Alabama 3rd Congressional District includes much of east and central Alabama, including areas around Auburn, Anniston, Talladega, and Gadsden. The Republican primary is Tuesday, May 19.
