U.S. Representative Barry Moore (R-AL-01) is gaining ground in Alabama’s Republican Senate primary, according to a new internal poll released by his campaign.

The memo, prepared by Moore pollster Erik Iversen, outlines what the campaign calls a widening advantage across the state.

“Barry Moore leads in every media market,” Iversen wrote. “Moore also leads among both men and women and voters of all ages. Among ‘Trump/MAGA’ voters (who make up 67% of the primary electorate in AL), Moore leads (Steve) Marshall, 42-14%. Moore also leads Marshall by double digits among both ‘Conservative’ and ‘very’ Conservative voters, who combined make up 88% of the vote.”

The poll also highlights the impact of Moore’s endorsement from Donald Trump.

“Fully 56% of voters are aware that Moore has been endorsed by President Trump, and among this group Moore leads Marshall 53-18% on the full-field ballot,” the memo continues.

Moore pointed to the numbers as a sign his campaign is building strength across Alabama.

“We’re seeing our momentum in every corner of Alabama,” Moore said. “Alabama conservatives want a Senator who will stand with President Trump, stand against the woke mob, and stand up for Alabama values. I have the record, the background, and the spine of steel to do it.”

Moore, who qualified for the race at Alabama Republican Party headquarters in Birmingham in January, is one of six candidates vying for the Republican nomination to succeed Senator Tommy Tuberville, who is stepping down from the Senate to run for Governor.

As with most internal polling, the results reflect data gathered by the campaign itself and have not been independently verified. Still, the release offers a look at how Moore’s team is framing the race, with a focus on conservative voters and strong ties to Trump.

The poll sampled 500 likely Republican voters via live calls between April 11-13, and had a margin of error of +/- 4%. Notably, the poll found that 32% of those polled remain undecided.
