President Trump Ends War On Water Pressure
Signs Executive Order repealing Obama-Biden “low-flow shower head” regulations

President Trump signed an Executive Order (EO) Wednesday repealing the Obama-Biden-era federal regulations that mandated low-flow, low-pressure shower heads.
A draft of the EO said that “No longer will shower heads be weak and worthless” and that the Order intends to “make America showers great again.”
The final version of the EO, “Maintaining Acceptable Water Pressure In Showerheads” may be read HERE.
During the signing ceremony, the President stated that “I like to take a nice shower to take care of my beautiful hair.” The President also commented that he hoped Congress would act to codify his EO into law.
This EO is a continuation of the President's instructions to EPA Chief Lee Zeldin. On February 11, 2025, the President posted on social media:
“I am hereby instructing Secretary Lee Zeldin to immediately go back to my Environmental Orders, which were terminated by Crooked Joe Biden, on Water Standards and Flow pertaining to SINKS, SHOWERS, TOILETS, WASHING MACHINES, DISHWASHERS, etc., and to likewise go back to the common sense standards on LIGHTBULBS, that were put in place by the Trump Administration, but terminated by Crooked Joe. I look forward to signing these Orders. THANK YOU!!!”
Wednesday’s EO increases consumer choice by allowing manufacturers and retailers to offer both traditional and low flow shower heads.
Editor’s note: none of the staff of ALPolitics.dot com would ever condone the removal of the flow regulator from low-flow shower heads to restore adequate pressure, as described HERE, HERE or HERE.
