The following is a partial list of Acts signed by Governor Kay Ivey during the week of April 28-May 2, 2025. It only includes general bills that affect the entire State. It does not include single-County bills, Resolutions of any type, including Commendations, Congratulations, Honors or Mourning, or any Act relating to Sundown Laws and their extensions.

Each Act is numbered by year (2025) followed by the number of the Act. A link for each Act should take readers to the Secretary of State’s website, where another link to the final form of the Act may be found.

2025-227 (S118) to propose an Amendment to Section 16 of the Constitution of Alabama of 2022, to provide for additional offenses that would allow a judge to deny bail under certain circumstances

2025-249 (H253) relating to taxation, to exempt the gross receipts from the sale of certain aircraft and aircraft parts from state sales and use tax; to amend the Code of Alabama relating to the state lease or rental tax; to provide conditions regarding the application of rental or lease taxes to the rental or lease transaction of commercial aircraft; to exempt the gross receipts from the lease of certain aircraft parts from the state lease or rental tax; and to make non-substantive, technical revisions to update the existing code language to current style

There were a number of Acts signed by the Governor during this past week, but only two fit the parameters of this series. The vast majority were Resolutions or Local bills, and were therefore not listed here.
