Jerry Carl Wins Home Builders Endorsement
Home Builders Association of Alabama backs Jerry Carl, citing his support for affordable housing and opposition to burdensome regulations
Republican congressional candidate Jerry Carl has picked up another key endorsement in Alabama's 1st Congressional District race, earning the backing of the Home Builders Association of Alabama (HBAA).
The Statewide trade organization announced its support for Carl, pointing to what it described as his record of defending homeownership, promoting economic growth, and pushing back against government regulations that add costs for builders and homebuyers.
"We are pleased to endorse Jerry Carl for Alabama Congressional District 1," said 2026 HBAA First Vice President Jim Mathews. "Jerry has been a champion for affordable housing and a warrior against government overreach and unnecessary regulations. We know he will work hard to ensure that every Alabamian has the opportunity to realize the dream of homeownership."
The endorsement adds another business and industry group to Carl's growing list of supporters as he campaigns to return to Congress representing southwest Alabama. Carl has recently secured endorsements from several Alabama trade organizations that have highlighted his support for economic development, manufacturing and job creation, as well as President Donald J. Trump.
Carl welcomed the endorsement, saying he intends to continue working with the state's home building industry if elected.
"I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Home Builders Association of Alabama," Carl said. "Homeownership is at the heart of the American Dream, and families deserve a representative who will fight to lower costs, cut unnecessary regulations, and create an environment where families can truly thrive. I look forward to continuing to work alongside Alabama's home builders to expand opportunity in Southwest Alabama and across our great state."
The Home Builders Association of Alabama represents residential builders, developers, remodelers and businesses connected to the housing industry across the state. The organization advocates for policies aimed at expanding housing opportunities while reducing regulatory barriers that increase construction costs.
Carl said his campaign remains focused on expanding economic opportunity, protecting homeownership and advancing what he described as commonsense conservative policies for Alabama families.
